Gretchen Cheney

Professor SoulMender

Gretchen Cheney graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Elementary Education and Special Education from Southern Utah University. She later went on to earn a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.

She has taught in various public and charter schools as a special education teacher for a total of 18 years, as well as homeschooled her own children for a total of 9 years. Gretchen is a fun and engaging teacher who is masterful at helping her students find their unique strengths and ways of learning. 

Gretchen and her husband have four grown children and one grandson. Gretchen enjoys being out in nature and spending time with her family. She has a passion for natural health and learning new things. She has been trained in many emotional release therapies, is a certified nutritional herbalist, and is a licensed massage therapist and foot zoner.

Linn Johnson

Literary Luminary

Linn Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in both Humanities and French from Brigham Young University. She earned a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Humanities from Arizona State University. She completed her Education and Teaching English as a Second Other Language coursework at the University of Phoenix. Finally, she graduated with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from New Mexico Highlands University.

Linn began her teaching career as a teaching assistant at ASU. She taught high school for 6 years, teaching subjects like English, English as a Second Language, Social Studies, Journalism (newspaper and yearbook), French, and Piano. Linn also taught English at a community college for 3 years, both in person and online. She spent 2 years working as a Reading Instructional Support Coach to help other teachers become better teachers. Finally, she completed an internship as a middle school administrator. She loves talking to, getting to know, and hanging out/working with teenagers.

Linn has an amazing 11-year-old daughter and 2 crazy Aussiedoodle dogs. She enjoys watching mystery/crime shows, thinking deep thoughts, reading books about healing, playing games with her family, and hanging out with her awesome sisters. She loves to learn pretty much anything. Linn has many unique dreams and goals, like learning to speak Arabic so she can go to Algeria, traveling to Italy and Greece so she can eat all the olives her little heart desires, writing a book that’s good enough to be published, and discovering a way to live next to the ocean so she can spend her days listening to the waves and collecting seashells.

Tasha Toilolo

Emotional Alchemist

Tasha Toilolo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. 

She has worked as a counselor for 7 years at residential treatment centers, counseling youth with various mental health, substance abuse, and behavioral challenges. Tasha has additional training in Safe and Sound Protocol, Primitive Reflex Integration, and Brain Integration. She also has training in 7 Challenges, a substance abuse program for youth. Additionally, Tasha is trained in massage therapy, Spinal Touch, and Emotional Freedom Technique. She loves helping kids learn how to feel safe, confident, and happy. 

Tasha and her husband have 4 awesome children, one of whom is serving a mission in Chile for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has recently moved back to the U.S. after living in Samoa for the past 9 years. She loves swimming in the ocean, beneath waterfalls, and in natural hot springs. She even plans her vacations around accessing these activities. Tasha is a lifelong collector of rocks, crystals, shells, windchimes, and Christmas ornaments from around the world.
