Holistic Services

All students enrolled at our school will receive all described holistic support services during the school day.

Nervous System Integration

We use Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Primitive Reflex Integration, and HeartMath to balance the autonomic and central nervous systems.

These treatments create a sense of autonomic safety, the ability for social connection, and proper functioning of motor and perceptual skills.

Brain Integration

Brain integration aims to balance both left and right sides of the brain to eliminate fixed or polarized functioning.

Our approach helps students to increase their ability to focus and to learn more naturally using the strengths of their dominant side of the brain.

Social Skills Training

We teach and practice the skills necessary for effective social interactions and relationships. These include communication skills, empathy, cooperation, conflict resolution, and other essential social abilities.

By engaging in social skills training, students can develop better interpersonal relationships, communicate more effectively, navigate social situations with confidence, and build healthy connections with peers and teachers.

Mental / Emotional coping skills

Students learn strategies and techniques that help them manage and regulate their emotions, thoughts, and reactions to stressors and challenges. Skills include self-awareness, emotional regulation, problem solving, and mindfulness.

By developing mental/emotional coping skills, students can effectively handle stress, anxiety, and emotional difficulties, improving their overall well-being, mental health, and ability to focus and engage in learning.

Movement

We teach many types of exercises, activities, and movements designed to stimulate brain function and promote physical coordination. These activities often involve crossing the midline of the body, bilateral coordination, and sensory integration.

By incorporating movement such as dance, yoga, Qi Gong, and Brain Gym activities into the school day, students can experience enhanced focus, concentration, and brain engagement. These activities can also improve motor skills, coordination, and balance, contributing to overall physical development.

Meditation

Meditation involves the practice of focusing one's attention and achieving a state of mental awareness and relaxation. Types of meditation can include deep breathing, mindfulness, and guided visualization.

Meditation in schools can benefit students by reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing attention and concentration, promoting self-awareness and emotional regulation, and improving overall mental well-being. It can also support a positive classroom atmosphere, fostering a sense of calm and promoting a conducive learning environment.
